How To Be A Scientist

This is the movie that group 3 created on "How to be a scientist".  Our group decided to choose Oobleck as our experiment. The steps and methods were explained. Our movie was edited using iMovie to add the title and effects. 

Describe The Character

This was our writing for my group this week.  

We had been given an image to describe the character.

First we had to brainstorm our idea's in a Google Doc of what we saw, then write a story using your brainstorming ideas.

The sun rose behind the hill at the park, Mrs Gorilla hiked through the green grass, wearing her blue dress and her romanian flag scarf.  She stopped to look at something, it wasn’t pleasant.  She had an angry expression on her face and did not seem pleased.

This is my and my partner Mia's homework for week 8.

This week we had to travel to 'The Grand Palace of Bangkok' which is located in Thailand.

Did you know that if visitors want to enter the palace they have to be modestly (fully) dressed, and the Grand Palace has been the home of the Thai king, the Royal Court and the government of Thailand.

The Lost Thing Venn-Diagram

This is my groups Venn- Diagram from a story we read.

In the story there was 2 different worlds that a boy traveled with a lost thing her found.

Our task was to create a Venn-Diagram of the different things in both worlds

LI: To make an informed choice (based on information)

Today LS2 made an informed choice based on information on 'why we should change the NZ flag or why we should not change the NZ flag.  

We had to get into our thinking groups and decide why we should and should not change the NZ flag. I think we shouldn't change the flag because it will respect the ANZAC soldiers who fought for it.

Describing The Scene

                                        

On a winter day, a class of kids were heading towards the trees.  Everyone could hear each other's footsteps when they were running, and they could see each worried expressions on the other kids faces.  

This is my beginning of my narrative.

I had to describe the picture by using the clues that were given to us by the image.
