Rockets

Last week on Friday we were building rockets.  Firs we started off with building a straw rocket.  We had to test our straw rockets 3 times and find out their distances.  After testing the straw rockets we built our own rockets using hard paper.  The making of the paper rocket was easy because we just had to fold, attach and glue the pieces together.  Our teacher for the session Mr Dunn showed us a demonstration of what our rocket should fly like.  When we flew the paper rocket outside it didn't work properly.  Next we attempted to fly the 3D printed rocket.  We also added a twist in the 3D rocket.  We added fireworks to the rocket.  We flew the rocket but it went so high and never came back.  A huge thank you to Mr Dunn for organizing the session for us.

  1. Hi Mahdia,
I also enjoyed make straw rockets because they were really easy and fun to create. Did your Hypothesis come true? Was there anything else you wanted to change? I also found that interesting, how the rocket flew high up into the sky but never returned. Keep up the great learning because it looks like you are having fun.
