For the past 2 weeks we have been working on Pigeon Post. This was a new learning for my reading group because we used a multimodal DLO. Our reading group was split into 4 groups R, E, A, and D. Our group was R. We had to work collaboratively as a group and use our smart searching skills to get our tasks done and make up our mind if pigeons are 'pests' or special birds. My opinion was that I think that they are very special birds because they risked their lives during WW1 to deliver important messages behind the enemy lines that saved many of the soldiers lives. Check out our pigeons reading follow up where we did all of the other tasks by clicking here.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

The Shake Out from The Outlook for Someday on Vimeo.
This is a movie created by Latham, Reon, Sylis, Jasmine and Daniel. The movie is about 'The Shake Out'. A congratulation to Latham and the actors who have done a great job for creating a movie that will help other people learn what to do during a shake out.
