Book Character Day
Today at Panmure Bridge School we had a Book Character Day. We had to dress-up as a character so we could bring the magic of books to life for the younger students. we had some visitors that came to our school like gangsta granny, Mrs Twit, constable Cyrus, and much more. My friends Mia, Nesi and I decided to dress-up as vampires from the book Dracula. Mrs Anderson and Mrs Naicker both of my teachers dressed as witches and they looked awsome. A special thank you to Mrs Millward for organizing this event for Panmure Bridge School.

This week LS2 has been focusing on advertisements. For one of our task we had to get into groups of four. Our teachers stuck papers all around the room explaining what a advertisement is. Someone had to be the writer, then the other people had to go to a paper and read what it said. Next we had to tell the writer what to write. After we were done we had to explain in 25 words what advertisement is.

Attributing Images
Today during Inquiry LS2 were learning how to attribute an image. We had to find a image of the Olympic ring, the Rio 2016 logo, NZ 2016 Olympics, and a flag of the Olympics 2016. Attributing an image is when you say thank you the person who took the image for putting it up, by putting in their name and the license by the image.

Winter Learning Journey
For the Winter Learning Journey we had to choose a blogging we had to imagine that we were alive 2792 years ago. We were invited to compete in the first ever ancient Olympics Games. We had to choose a event that we would participate in. For this activity I chose horse racing and pentathlon. The reason I chose this activity is because back in Afghanistan my family used to own a horse. I would be able to ride on it everyday.

Story Starter Scrambler
Today for writing the year 8's had to write a story. We got our topic from the scholastic story starters scrambler. We span the wheel and choose the best topic we wanted to talk about. My topic was that I had to write a postcard to an old astronaut who discovered a new city.
Life Education
Today at our first session of Life Education with Nicole we were learning about our body system. Today we focused on the nerves, circulatory, muscular, and 5 senses system. We were also learning about how the brain sends messages to the rest of the body. We played some games to help us understand how the brain sends the messages and what happens when the body receives the messages.
